  • Recycle Your Fluorescent Bulbs

Mercury from one fluorescent bulb can pollute 6,000 gallons of water beyond safe levels for drinking.

Going Green Wisconsin

  • It’s unlawful to dispose of fluorescent bulbs as universal waste in the states of California, Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
  • Fluorescent Lamps are banned from the Dane County Landfill.
  • Madison ordinances require any store that sells fluorescent lamps and bulbs to take back old CFLs from their customers and have them recycled.

EZ Office Products Encourages Recycling of Fluorescent Bulbs

  • If you're a current EZ Office Products customer and need to recycle fluorescent bulbs, we’ll gladly pick them up and have them properly disposed of, regardless of where you purchased them. (Please package them in such a way that they can make it back safely to our warehouse.)
  • Your pickup location should be within our EZOP fleet-truck delivery zone.
  • If you're not a customer, we’ll still pick up CFLs from your business if you’re located in our fleet-truck delivery zone.
  • You’ll pay the locally accepted standard disposal fee. On average, you can expect to pay: $0.60 for each 8-foot and $0.40 for each 4-foot bulb.
