If your business is not on his route, it’s likely you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Dustin Morfey, one of our Delivery Service Representatives. Dustin joined EZ Office Products more than four years ago after relocating from Colorado where he worked as a physical therapy aid and personal trainer. His ties to Wisconsin began earlier when he studied business at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Here’s more about Dustin’s role at EZOP along with what he enjoys when he’s not working…
If you’ve called us on the phone, communicated by chat, or sent us an e-mail, you may have experienced the pleasure of interacting with Bonnie Conway, one of our customer service extraordinaires. Bonnie joined the EZOP team six years ago bringing experience from various companies as an administrative professional. We’ll give you an inside look of what Bonnie’s day looks like, and what she enjoys outside of work.
Greg has been an integral part of the EZ Office Products’ family since our beginning in 2006. In fact, I give him due credit for kicking us off the ground with his hard work and determination as far back as 2002. Many may not know it, but we were “BF Molz Madison” back then and I was still living in New Jersey hoping to come home one day and launch EZ Office Products. That makes Greg employee numero uno in many ways. But, surprise #2, Greg is also my brother (lucky me). Our accounts receivable person, Marilyn, is his mother! Before working here, Greg was the operations manager for Corporate Express, since sold out to Staples, for both Madison and Appleton. He left the corporate world of conundrum to work with us so he could finally feel like he was making a difference. Greg shared his typical day at EZOP along with a personal hidden talent that you may not know about!
Chances are, it has been awhile since you last adjusted your e-mail signature. I got the idea to do an article on this while cleaning my inbox from a vacation (for those of you who don’t know what my inbox is like, let me tell you… it wasn’t easy!) As I was going through my emails, I found a great presentation done by Hubspot about some of the mistakes we may have in our own e-mail signatures. I thought that there were a few great points made in this article, that maybe you can look for in your own signatures.
Meet the newest EZ Office Products employee, Jason Spink! Jason attended the Madison Area Technical College and ran his own taxidermy business before joining EZ Office Products. We’re excited to have him join our fleet of delivery service drivers, and for our customers to get to know Jason.
How prepared is your business for whatever Mother Nature throws at you? September is National Preparedness Month, according to FEMA. While in the heat of the moment your first concern is about you and your own family’s safety, it’s also important to expect the unexpected at your facility. With Hurricanes Harvey & Irma fresh in our minds, it’s important to take this time to assess your own emergency preparedness plans, and prepare for the unexpected.
More than ever, local businesses face unique challenges. EZ Office Products (EZOP) is always thinking about our future workforce in Dane County and why it is so important to our overall economic prosperity. This summer, we partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County (BGDC) and their mentoring program to participate in providing a meaningful professional experience. Meet Yee Lee, our 2017 summer intern. EZOP provided Yee with a multi-faceted experience — from understanding how we help customers, to distribution and the way in which we care for customer deliveries, to marketing and the importance of good graphics, and even going through the exercise of an executive briefing to our owners, Rose and Gary Molz. Here’s a little more about Yee and his work at EZOP this summer.
Tech products can help save all of us some frustration and help us get our work done. How many times have you tried to work without a mouse or found yourself on a conference call where no one could hear you? Here are a few items that we think will help ease your frustrations and help you work smarter, not harder.
Meet one of our EZOPeops, Steve Schwenn. A graduate of Madison College, Steve joined our crew last year as one of our Delivery Service Reps. Before working at EZOP, Steve was a service sales rep for Cintas. Read more about Steve below.
