Nelson Mandela once said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” This quote perfectly sums up the work ethic of Amanda Turner, our Marketing Coordinator and Customer Service Extraordinaire. Amanda relocated to Madison from Illinois in 2015 to join EZ Office Products.Read More >>
Meet Amanda TurnerShe studied marketing at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Before joining EZOP, she was an Account Manager for ColorKraft Roll Products, a manufacturer of ATM & receipt rolls. Here are some other things we want to share about her work and outside of the office.
Amanda wears multiple hats so there really isn’t a typical day for her. "My day varies a lot based on need. I support client services, run point on marketing initiatives, and act as back-up for our purchasing department to ensure customers get what they need on time," she said. Amanda also handles the majority of our custom marking products (stamps, notaries, banners, embossers, signs, etc) while simultaneously responding to customer chats, emails, and phone calls. On the marketing side, Amanda runs point on approving digital content and all things social, ensures the EZOP website is updated with fresh content, edits and resizes graphics for product display, and manages EZOP’s e-mail marketing efforts. When Amanda helps our purchasing team, her day can really vary. Sometimes she processes the orders and handles backorders while on other days she checks that all open orders have been reviewed and have any necessary actions taken on them. Within each of her responsibilities, Amanda says getting to interact with customers is her favorite part of the job. “Getting to know our customers and building a relationship with them makes my job fun,” she says. She also enjoys problem-solving and finding solutions for our customers.
Outside of the Office
When Amanda moved to Madison it felt like a big city to her. “There is always something to do!” she exclaimed. “Coming from a small town of 1200 people in Southern Illinois makes Madison seem like a big city with so many options.”Amanda loves to try new things. Checking out our city's new attractions, festivals, restaurants, and events is her favorite pastime. An expedition to the Sky Zone Trampoline Park tops her list. She also enjoys playing indoor and outdoor volleyball, going on hikes, yoga, and stand up paddleboarding (when the weather cooperates). Amanda is currently training for the Crazy Legs 8K which takes place on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
At home, Amanda loves to read. “Finding Ultra” by Rich Roll, “Chase the Lion: If Your Dream Doesn’t Scare You, It’s Too Small” by Mark Batterson, and “Girl Boss” by Sophia Amoruso are ones she always recommends. She also enjoys podcasts by the authors above. But her newest hobby? No doubt it will be begging to babysit for new niece, Laura. In the future, she would love to travel the world, write a book on consumerism, and get a certification to become a yoga instructor.
