Here are 7 reasons why we are so grateful to call Madison our home.
Whether it’s watching Badger Basketball begin their season in the hopes to return the NCAA championship game again in March or Packer football (Go Pack Go), Madison takes pride in its sports.
Besides, just watching sports, Madison likes to join in the fun! Madison has several opportunities to participate in the traditional sports leagues like softball, volleyball and flag football but also the non-traditional like Isthmus Bubble Soccer
This results in a lot of happy and grateful sports fans.
The five beautiful lakes that contribute to making Madison the town we love. They are even beautiful frozen! Whether you enjoy fishing or cruising around on a boat, there is always something to do.
Yes, Wisconsin is known for its cheese but Fromagination
is located right in our backyards. The cheese shop is so well known, it has been featured on the Food Network
and even in The New York Times

At times we may curse how much snow there is but deep down; it really is beautiful watch the snow fall and blanket the ground. And when it is time to play, there are several sledding hills to choose from whether it be at the Aldo Leopold Park or Elver Park that even has lights for evening fun! (Source: City of Madison
Without the snow, Madison wouldn’t be the amazing town that we all know and love!
3. The State Capitol
Madison is home to the national historic landmark, the State Capitol. Located Downtown, it is frequently the center of several festivals in Madison and is home to the Dane County Farmers market throughout the summer months.
P.S. Did you know it is the only
capitol to be built on an isthmus?
Even though we have mentioned how wonderful biking is in Madison before, we are still talking as Madison was recently recognized as a platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. The League just announced a new level of Diamond. So as we achieve a goal, we set new.
Last but not least, the amazing people are the #1 reason we are thankful to call Madison our home. Without you, we wouldn’t have a place to call home.
