We embarked on a project to go through the entire school supplies list of nearly 4,000 lines for all 43 elementary and middle schools in the Madison, WI Metropolitan School District. We also buried ourselves in the Dane County School Consortium which provided the lists of 16 additional Dane County school districts and their school supplies lists as well.
What we see is commonality among grades K-4 and 5-8. Therefore, we put together two different school supply SmartSacks for parents to choose from. The sack is free – we’re giving them out as part of our effort to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. Your child can bring their school supplies on the first day of school and bring home the SmartSack to reuse for gym shoes or whatever you see fit.
